Crane Company on “other” companies hiding asbestos health hazards – It’s not just an inference” - Judicial Estoppel

“But the evidence is also going to show you Crane Co. bought  the gaskets and packing from other companies. Those companies didn't warn Crane Co. They didn't test their products, and they made the gaskets and packing. Other companies made insulation. Those companies weren't telling the buyers like Crane Co. or the navy that these products were hazardous. Some of them, you'll hear about Johns Manville, an insulation company. Some of them knew it was hazardous. They didn't just -- it's not just an inference from all that literature.

Some of them knew these things were hazardous, and they hid it. They purposefully set about to deceive other companies and the public and people like Mr. Morrison and the navy about the hazards of these products. Because Johns Manville mined more asbestos than anybody, and they wanted to keep making money. Those are the companies who were doing things to deceive and hide the facts.”
